If you are planning to travel on Highway 36 near Macon these next few days, then be ready to pack along some patience.
This week, the city of Macon utility crews will be temporarily stopping traffic on both east and westbound lanes of U.S. 36 just west of Macon to complete the replacement of overhead power lines.
All lanes of traffic will be stopped for approximately 10 minutes, two separate times to complete the work.
During the work done on U.S. 36, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and city of Macon will assist with traffic control.
Motorists are urged to use caution and obey all road construction signs. To avoid delays, motorists are urged to use alternate routes during this time.
