14-year-old arrested in connection with Centerville school fire

Firefighters responded to a reported fire in the Teachers' lounge at Centerville High School on Thursday November 9th.

The Centerville Police Department arrested 14-year-old Alec James Brown Friday in connection with last weekâ??s fire at Centerville High School.

Brown has been charged with Arson in the First Degree, a Class B Felony, and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, a Class C Felony.

These charges stem from an ongoing investigation into the fire at Centerville High School that occurred on Thursday January 9th. Officers uncovered additional information in regards to the fire and were able to bring charges against Brown.

Brown will be transferred to a juvenile detention facility where he will be held pending future court proceedings.
