3 killed in Poweshiek County crash
NEAR GRINNELL, Iowa —
Three Heartland residents were killed in a two-car crash Friday.
Just after 4 p.m., troopers with the Iowa State Patrol were called to Highway 146 in Poweshiek County where the vehicles collided head-on.
According to an online crash report, Randall Paul, 31, of Grinnell, was traveling south in an Oldsmobile when the driver of a Toyota, Thomas Taylor, 69, of Oskaloosa, crossed the center line, causing the two vehicles to collide.
Paul was killed in the crash, and Taylor was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Two Oskaloosa passengers were also killed in the crash: Lourdes Taylor, 67, and Rosa Santos, 65.
Gloria Smallwood, 59, also of Oskaloosa, was injured in the crash.
