The Wapello County 4-H Expo wrapped up on Saturday at the Bridge View Center.
The day kicked off with a pancake breakfast indoors and a car show out in the parking lot. The Barnyard Olympics was the final event at the expo. 4-Hers set up various displays, showcasing what they've been working on all year to the community. Itâ??s a free event to take the whole family. People enjoyed good food, horse, swine and pet shows, crafts to do and artwork on display all week long. The expo kicked off Monday with a royalty pageant, and Thursday was all about the kids. They even got to judge and compete in their own livestock show. The Wapello County 4-H Youth Coordinator Katie Streeby says the expo was a success.
â??Yeah, it's been a really good week,â?? Katie Streeby, Wapello County 4-H Youth Coordinator said. â??We had quite a few people come through. Our numbers are up for all of our livestock exhibits, so it's been fun.â??
