400 participants expected at Faith Lutheran's Church fall festival
KIRKSVILLE, MO. —
Faith Lutheran School in Kirksville is holding its annual fall festival Friday starting at 5 p.m.
School Director Janie Fouch said the church's fall festival is its biggest fundraiser of the year.
Last year, the event brought in $20,000.
The school used the money to purchase a security system.
This year, Fouch said the money will go toward upgrading technology and buying new equipment.
Fouch said having a fall festival is necessary to up supplement the school budget, but it is also a time for members of Faith Lutheran Church to interact with the Heartland community.
Last year, the festival had around 400 participants.
Fouch says each year the festival attracts more and more people.
“The outpouring is wonderful. We’ve had a lot of community kids that have gone to our school and they seem to always come back and support us and it’s just, a wonderful, a really good feeling.”
Food will be served at 5 p.m. Friday, and the live auction starts at 6:45 p.m.
