Chia seeds are all the rage today and with good reason. These seeds are a powerhouse of nutrition. Dietitian Debbie Guild shows us some fun, and easy ways to use chia in everyday foods and meals.
Chia seeds are a good source of fiber, omega-3 fats and antioxidants which may be beneficial as disease fighters.
The recommended fiber intake for adults is 25-35 grams a day. Most adults are not getting enough fiber. Chia seeds provide 4 grams of fiber in a 1-tablespoon serving. Use chia seeds on oatmeal or other cereals for some additional fiber.
Fish is an excellent source of omega-3 fats. But did you know chia seeds are a good source of omega-3 fats as well? Chia seeds are a great food source of omega-3 fats, especially for those viewers who do not like fish.
The antioxidant activity in chia seeds is higher than in many other foods.

Tomato or Vegetable Juice
Superfood Triple Berry Chia Pudding
All You Need:
1 cup unsweetened almond/coconut milk beverage (used Almond Breeze)
3/4 cup fresh blueberries, blackberries and raspberries
2 tablespoons chia seeds
5-6 drops liquid stevia (or sugar/honey to taste)
All You Do:
1.Combine the Almond Breeze almond-coconut milk together with the fruit and chia seeds in a glass jar with a lid.
