Chia seeds are a good source of fiber, omega-3 fats and antioxidants which may be beneficial as disease fighters. Fiber The recommended fiber intake for adults is 25-35 grams a day. Most adults are not getting enough fiber. Chia seeds provide 4 grams of fiber in a 1-tablespoon serving. Use chia seeds on oatmeal or other cereals for some additional fiber. Omega-3 Fats Fish is an excellent source of omega-3 fats. But did you know chia seeds are a good source of omega-3 fats as well? Chia seeds are a great food source of omega-3 fats, especially for those viewers who do not like fish.
