A job fair makes its way to a new location in the Heartland

Itâ??s time to update your resume and bring your professional clothes down from the attic.

A job fair is making its way to a new location in the Heartland.

The Missouri Career Center is holding a career expo and veterans benefit fair on Tuesday, August 19 at the National Guard Armory in Macon (1616 S. Missouri Ave.).

There will be a wide variety of businesses for job seekers to choose from.

The career expo and veterans benefit fair will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

â??We thought it was very important because there is no career center in that area to have a job fair,â?? said Steve Moore with the Missouri Career Center. â??And then we have recently returning veterans with the National Guard so we combined a job fair and veterans benefit fair, together.â??

Job seekers are advised to dress professionally and come prepared with resumes and cover letters.
