A local child care center will begin classes in a newly renovated building this school year.
The Kirksville Child Development Center joined the Kirksville Chamber of Commerce to celebrate its completed summer renovation project.
KCDC is a nonprofit, tax exempt, parent-cooperative pre-school.
The center provides early childhood education with a "learn through play" philosophy.
Staff members cut a ribbon in front of the building Thursday to signify a fresh, new start.
School will begin on Monday, August 18.
Staff members are excited for the new beginning.
â??To commemorate, we were getting ready to open up on our ninth year and had finished some new projects and renovations. We did the carpet inside and some new fun stuff for the kids to do when school starts,â?? said Cheryl Dorrell, staff member.
Staff members say the Kirksville Child Development Center is always enrolling.
Right now, there are also jobs available for those interested.
