A Moberly woman supports the Wounded Warrior project

Bessie Mallory, born to a military family, is raising awareness for war veterans in the Heartland.

Mallory is hosting a craft and gift show, as well as a concert to raise money for the Wounded Warrior project. The concert date is set for June 28, 2014 and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door.

The project is a national effort to raise awareness and enlist the public's support for the needs of injured service members.

Mallory says she needs support from the community.

??I would just like to see more participation in this because I do think it's a good cause and I would just like for people to be more aware of the sacrifices that our military has to make. Spouses, children, family members-- they all have to make the sacrifice whenever you have a loved one that goes over seas,?? says Mallory.

The craft show and the concert will be held in Moberly, Missouri. The concert will be at the City Auditorium. For more information on the events, you can email Bessie Mallory.
