The pair accused of forging tickets to this year's NEMO Fair made an appearance in Adair County Circuit Court.
Kimberly Shake, 17, of Kirksville was arraigned in Adair County Associate Circuit Court. She also waived her preliminary hearing and her case was bound over to circuit court. She was released on her own recognizance, with special conditions.
Damien Patterson, 24, of Kirksville, was arraigned in Associate Circuit Court. He remains behind bars under $25,000 cash only bond. A bond reduction request by Patterson's attorney was turned down after Assistant Prosecutor Kristin Coffman objected to any reduction in bond. Knox County Judge William Alberty is handling the case after Adair County Associate Judge Kristie Swaim recused herself because she is on the NEMO Fair Board of Directors.
