The Adair County municipal elections are only a week from Tuesday and this year's ballot includes council seats, mayors and the Kirksville water bond proposal.
There are more than 12,300 eligible voters in the county and the clerk's office is hoping to improve on last year's 13 percent voter turnout.
Kirksville, Novinger, Brashear and the villages of Millard and Gibbs all have elections.
One of the biggest ballot issues for Kirksville residents is the waste water facility bond to fund a mandatory update.
â??The April election is our municipal election so it has everything that people want to vote on here in the city. So this is a very important election that people need to get out and consider voting because it really impacts you here locally,â?? said Adair County Clerk Sandy Collop.
We will have complete election coverage Tuesday, April 2, on KTVO ABC and Heartlandconnection.com.
