The Adair County Public Library is having a year-long celebration, for a very good reason.
This year, the library is celebrating the 25th anniversary of being housed in the current building. To celebrate, the library will be hosting different, and new events for all members of the family to participate in every month. Those events include a Wii 'Mario Kart' tournament and a movie night, complete with free beverages and popcorn. Library Director, Glenda Hunt hopes to encourage more people to come out to the library to see what all it has to offer, including the different movies and books that are available to take home for their enjoyment.
"We think celebrating the 25th year of something is a significant time to celebrate, and so we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of our library building," said Glenda Hunt, Adair County Public Library Director.
