With the start of the new year soon to be here, the Adair County Family YMCA in Kirksville will be hosting new workout programs and team sports for both members and non-members.
The 'Y' will be offering new programs for both adults and children. New adult programs include team volleyball, which lasts for 10 weeks, and adult soccer.
The annual 'Get Fit Challenge' will also be seeing some changes. That challenge is now open for everyone to participate in as opposed to being a team activity like years past.
New kids programs include youth basketball, which is open to youngsters in kindergarten thru fourth grade.
New classes being offered in the New Year include chair yoga and piloga. All programs are designed to provide exercise and fun.
"It's fun. It's a good way to get together with your friends and exercise, stay healthy, and just have a good time," said Brittni Kastelic, a program director at the Adair County YMCA.
New classes and programs at the Adair County Family YMCA will start in the first week of January and run through May.
