If you're looking for a good time outdoors this weekend, you won't have too go far.
The 4th annual Adair County Young Farmers Truck and Tractor Pull will be taking place this Saturday at the NEMO Fairgrounds in Kirksville.
The festivities begin at noon with a Brush Pull followed by the X-Caliber, Outlaw and IAMO Puller shows.
This year, there will be new additions to the event with a toy tractor show, an antique tractor show and tractor games for all ages to enjoy.
Organizers say they just want the community to come on out and have a great time.
"We enjoy doing it and putting it together. Takes a lot of work and time. But when it is all said and done, you see them coming down the track. You hand them out their trophies and their cash winnings. They go home and feel good and talk about it," said Truck and Tractor Pull Co-Chair Tim Watson.
The price for general admission for Saturday's event is $12 for adults, $5 for ages 6 to 12, and kids five and under get in free.
All the proceeds from the event will go toward scholarships for area youth who are pursuing careers in agriculture.
