Tue, 25 Jun 2013 21:04:13 GMT — A joint investigation conducted by the Bloomfield Police Department, the Davis County Sheriffâ??s Office, the Jefferson County Sheriffâ??s Office, the Ottumwa Police Department and the Wapello County Sheriffâ??s Office has led to additional arrests in connection with several vehicle thefts in southeast Iowa.Devan Edward Harland, 17, of Ottumwa, Iowa, is charged with several counts of theft. Harland is currently being held in the Lee County Juvenile Detention Center.Cody Allen Surber, 18, of Ottumwa, Iowa, is charged with one count of theft. Surber is currently being held in the Davis County Jail under $5,000 cash only bond.Jesse James Clawson, 26, of Ottumwa, Iowa, is charged with possession of stolen property. Clawson is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail bond under $5,000 cash only bond.Previously charged was William Braxton McCarroll, 18, of Ottumwa, Iowa. McCarroll is charged with several counts of theft and is currently being held in the Davis County Jail. His bond is set at $10,000 cash only.Authorities tell us that the investigation continues and more arrests are expected.The Fairfield Police Department, Iowa Highway Patrol, Iowa DNR, Iowa DOT and the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office were also involved in the multi-jurisdictional investigation.
