AGPAF casting for summer productions

American Gothic House Performing Arts Casting

The American Gothic Performing Arts Festival is holding auditions this Saturday and Sunday for their upcoming productions this summer.

They are casting for â??Peter Panâ?? and â??Go, Dog, Goâ?? at Indian Hills Community College. The list of times varies by age group, and is broken down on their website.

AGPAF Board Member Miriam Kenning stopped by the KTVO bureau in Ottumwa Wednesday to explain what you need to know. She says actors and actresses of all ages are welcome to tryout.

â??Weâ??re starting at 9â??oâ??clock in the morning," Kenning said. "And weâ??re asking that people wear comfy shoes or jazz shoes because weâ??ll be asking you to move. You donâ??t have to be a dancer, but weâ??ll be asking you to move. The younger children may sing â??Happy Birthday to Youâ??, and those in high-school and adults-- were asking you to sing maybe 16 bars of a song that you know, or you can sing â??Happy Birthday to You,â?? and it will be fine too. Weâ??re looking for a lot of people. Weâ??re hoping to have a cast of 60 for Peter Pan.â??
