Ameren Missouri electric bills set to decrease
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
Customers of a Heartland utility company can expect to see some extra change in their pockets.
Ameren Missouri electric bills are decreasing.
For a typical residential customer, bills are estimated to decrease by about $0.22 per month.
The change will take effect starting on January 25.
The lower pricing comes after the Missouri Public Service Commission approved Ameren's request to adjust its energy efficiency investment charge.
That measure encourages utility companies to implement demand-side and energy efficiency programs.
According to Ameren, it serves approximately 1.26 million electric customers in Missouri.
