Anhydrous leak causes injuries
Officials were evacuating an area east of Des Moines after an anhydrous ammonia tank ruptured, causing at least some injuries.
Officials with the Polk County sheriff's office say none of the injuries are considered critical. Officials say a farmer was in a field in an area east of Pleasant Hill Saturday evening when the accident happened.
They say a cloud of the chemical developed forcing officials to evacuate the area, which is near Southeast Polk High School. No other information was immediately available.
