Antique tractors visit heartland community

Antique tractors spent Thursday afternoon rolling into one heartland community.

Over seventy antique tractor riders made their way into Worthington Thursday afternoon. The riders came from all parts of Missouri and Iowa to show off their antique and restored tractors. Those that participate in the rides enjoy meeting fellow antique lovers and talking about the history of their tractor. Some of the riders even say that riding a tractor on the road is better and more fun then riding a motorcycle.

"You smell and feel and do things better than a motorcycle actually. But, the most important thing the whole ride, is the people you meet," said Gary Coughenour, an Antique Tractor Owner.

The riders also enjoyed a lunch, thanks to the ladies of the Baptist Church in Worthington. After lunch, the riders hit the road to show off their rides to the neighboring communities.
