This week the Adair County Health Department is giving free vaccinations.
On Wednesday and Friday, Adair County residents can stop by to get their Tdap vaccine shots to help prevent the spread of illnesses including the Whooping Cough.
Monday about 30-40 people showed up at the health department to get the shots.
Anyone 11 and older can stop by and get vaccinated.
"It kind of varies. We've had young people that are getting it, it's an eigth grade requirement for the school, and older individuals as well. So we just encourage everybody to come and get it," said Lori Guffey R.N.of Adair County Health Department.
Missouri has seen an increase in confirmed cases of the Whooping Cough in the last year, which has brought more of an awareness of people to get the shot.
The Adair County Health Department said appointments are still available for people to get their shots this Wednesday July 24 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and this Friday July 26 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. To make an appointment, call (660) 665-8491.
