Arraignment for Iowa murder suspect pushed back
APPANOOSE COUNTY, Iowa —
The arraignment for a Wayne County, Iowa, man accused of murder has been pushed back.
Ethan Davis, 27, was scheduled to be in a courtroom Tuesday morning.
Davis is charged with First-Degree Murder in the death of Curtis Ross.
Davis' arraignment will now be held on January 16.
An arraignment is held after a suspect has been formally charged.
The defendant enters a formal plea and future court dates are set.
In late November, Ross was on a hunting trip near Lake Rathbun when he was reported missing.
On November 25, his body was found near Sandy Beach
An autopsy report revealed ross had multiple stab and gunshot wounds, and authorities ruled his death as a homicide.
Davis has been in custody since his arrest on November 29.
