Arrests made in Hannibal convenience store killing

Police blocked off Abel's Quick Shop as they investigated.

Hannibal police say they have made several arrests following an apparent robbery-related killing at a northeast Missouri convenience store.

Officers were called to Abel's Quik Shop just west of Hannibal just after 3 Tuesday morning.

Lt. John Zerbonia, with the Hannibal Police Department, has identified the victim as Adrienne F. Arnett, 61, of Hannibal.

A family member told Jim Whitfield, with KTVO's sister station KHQA, that Arnett was alone at work overnight.

According to Lt. Zerbonia, detectives made a series of arrests of subjects for their involvement in the incident. The arrests began shortly after the incident took place and continued through Tuesday afternoon.

Marion County Coroner Darrell McCoy says Arnett was pronounced dead at 3:45 a.m.
