Art summer program is in final week

This week marks the last for the "Art in the Park" summer program.

This week marks the last for a popular summer program.

Kids have been learning to find their artistic side all this month as part of the "Art in the Park" Program.

It's put on by the Kirksville Parks and Recreation Department and the Kirksville Arts Association.

Each week, the kids have been doing art projects ranging from cultural to modern art.

In it's final week, we stopped by P.C. Mills Park Tuesday as kids learned about contemporary 3D art.

Instructors told us that they hoped the kids learned how to appreciate art more.

Art in the Park will still be taking place Wednesday at Jaycee Park and Thursday at P.C. Mills Park .

The kids' projects will be put on display at the Kirksville Arts Association Building all next week.

An art show will be taking place next Wednesday, August 6 at 5:30 p.m.
