Assault call lands woman in jail on meth charges
A report of a possible domestic assault in progress ended with a northeast Missouri woman behind bars on felony drug charges.
The Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Highway 157 outside of Kirksville Saturday morning.
Deputies ended up arresting Amber True, 31, of Kirksville, one of the residents of the home.
During a pat down at the Adair County Law Enforcement Center, the sheriff's office says a jailer found a small plastic baggie of a white crystal substance in True's front pocket.
That substance was field tested and gave a positive result for methamphetamine.
True is charged with one count of felony possession of the controlled substance, meth.
The sheriff's office said she was released from the Adair County jail Monday afternoon on her own recognizance.
