A.T. Still University celebrated it'ss annual Founder's Day with a 5K run and walk on Saturday morning.
The run was held at the Thompson Campus Center with over 100 runners participating
The annual series serves as a reminder of Andrew Taylor Still who founded the university in 1892.
Race co-organizer Ben Crary is glad to be a part of the festivities..
"Founder's day itself is just a celebration of A.T. Still who founded our university and founded osteopathic medicine and he was all about holistic care and being the mind body spirit so we do the 5K to kind of celebrate that and he also loved the outdoors."
All proceeds go to the United Way of Kirksville.
Crary also says the volunteers from Truman State and Americore made for a successful event, one he looks forward to doing again next year.
