Authorities arrest suspect in Trenton man's death
Mon, 08 Jul 2013 01:47:48 GMT — The Trenton Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on or around July 3rd in the 2300 block of Speedway Avenue. Jameson Read, 24, of Trenton, has been charged with second degree murder for the death of John Vincell, 54, also of Trenton. We're told that the Trenton Department began investigating a missing person's incident during the evening hours on Friday. During the course of the investigation, police were able to determine that Read, a business associate of the victim, shot Vincell several times while the two were at Read's home on Speedway Avenue in Trenton. Chief Wright, with the Trenton Police Department tells us that Read then placed Vincell into the victim's vehicle, drove to a remote portion of Sullivan County, and dumped the vehicle and victim into a pond. On Saturday, investigators did recover a partially submerged motor vehicle in a pond in Sullivan County with the body of John Vincell inside. Read is in custody at the Grundy County Jail on a Grundy County warrant for 2nd degree murder and has no bond. A second subject who was arrested on July 6th has been released and we're told is not suspected to have participated in the homicide.
The investigation is ongoing.
