Another Wapello County cold case has apparently been solved.

The Wapello County Sheriff's Department announced Thursday that they have developed new information in the 1984 triple homicide of Justin Hook, Tina Lade and Sarah Link.

The department will conduct a joint press conference with the Division of Iowa Criminal Investigation Friday at 2 p.m.

According to the Iowa cold cases website, the bodies of Link, Hook and Lade were discovered over a five day period in April of 1984.

Hook and Lade were engaged to be married, and Link was Hook's mother. All three were found bludgeoned to death.

This is the second Wapello County cold case to make the news in recent years.

Next Tuesday, Robert Eugene Pilcher will go on trial in Wapello County for the 1974 murder of Mary Jayne Jones.
