'Baggage Claim' will be performed at the Life Church
Life Church in Kirksville made final preparations for a lesson explained through imagery.
â??Baggage Claimâ?? is a story built around the D-Baquel family on vacation at a much-publicized bed and breakfast.
However, their stay can be described as a headache thanks to a bellhop tossing their luggage into a canyon that lies below the hotel.
Sam, the father, is annoyed because he keeps traveling the large flight of stairs to retrieve the bags.
The comedic beginnings of the play transform into lessons as the characters each let go of their baggage to the bellhop, gradually recognizing that he is Jesus Christ.
Daniel Floyd plays Sam and he gives a brief introduction to his character.
â??I think Sam is really the central point of being someone who is carrying baggage. He keeps carrying these things and he doesn't want to give them up, but by the end of the play he needs to come to a place where he can give over those things and really be freed from the things that are weighing him down,â?? said Floyd.
The play will be held at the Life Church beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 10th.
There will also be a second presentation Saturday, May 17th at 7 p.m. Admission is $2.00 per person.
