Beloved airport director loses battle with leukemia
A Heartland community is grieving.
A longtime employee of the city of Kirksville loses his battle with leukemia.
David Hall, 53, of Kirksville died Saturday morning.
Hall was the Kirksville Regional Airport Director for the past seven years.
He had worked at the airport a total of 23 years.
Kirksville City Manager Mari Macomber said Hall leaves a great legacy.
â??If you knew David a couple of things you would know, and that would be the things most important to him in terms of the job was customer service; making sure that he related to the people and the customers that he had,â?? said Kirksville City Manager Mari Macomber. â??The other thing is just relationships â?¦ the importance of relationship building. Again, if you knew him you would know those things were the main things he focused on.â??
Funeral arrangements for Hall will be this Thursday at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer/Dooley/Playle and Jones Family Funeral Homes in Kirksville.
Visitation starts at 6 p.m. Thursday evening followed by the funeral at 7.
