After today's Thanksgiving dinner, Bloomfield residents gathered together to take place in an annual tradition.
The annual Bloomfield lighting of the courthouse ceremony took place this evening.
A presentation was made from the Bloomfield Board of Supervisors, and two new members were inducted into the Davis County Hall of Fame. Chauncey Francis and Nancy Logan were bestowed with that honor.
Those in attendance enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies while standing in the frigid weather counting down until the courthouse illuminated the downtown area.
Janell Pottorff, Director of Bloomfield Main Street, said it's a special night where the Bloomfield community comes out to celebrate the holiday season.
"It's going to be a great night," said Pottorff. "We love it anytime our community members can come out and celebrate our historic downtown area and just enjoy kicking off the holiday season with the lighting of the courthouse lights and some hot chocolate."
Despite the cold weather, many community members gathered together to enjoy this tradition.
