Bloomfield Main Street's holiday festivies are well underway
Bloomfield Main Street's holiday festivities are well underway, kicking off with their holiday farmer's market on the square Wednesday morning.
Bloomfield Main Street Director Janell Pottoroff says they have a lot of great things going on this season. Thanksgiving night at 6:30, there will be a presentation of the Davis County Hall of Fame Award, and then they will have their annual lighting of the courthouse ceremony with free cookies and hot chocolate provided afterwards.
â??And then next week, we're gonna start our holiday festival Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th,â?? Pottoroff said. â??We'll be having our taste of Christmas, which is a great event; it's really popular. We have our businesses on the square and around town offer free samples and recipes, and so you start here at the Main Street Office, pick up your envelope and then you walk around the square and they give again some of the surrounding business as well. All that info can be found on our facebook page.â??
On Saturday, Bloomfield Main Street will host Breakfast with Santa for the kids from 8:30-11 a.m. at the Get-Together Room on the north side of the square. There will be gourmet waffles by Dawnâ??s Couture Cakes. Tickets cost $3 in advance and $3.50 at the door.
