Bob's Hog Out benefit helps raise money for family he leaves behind
People in the community honored a man whose life was cut short when he passed away in May, at the young age of 37.
Bob Thomason was a friend, husband, father and local musician. People in the community gathered at the Jimmy Jones shelter, for a hog out for bob benefit, which included a live and silent auction, music from 10 bands and many other activities to help raise money for his wife and children he leaves behind. Organizers say they came up with the idea for the hog out benefit at their beloved friend's funeral.
â??We thought, you know he's leaving a wife behind and three young boys behind that we had to do something to help out the family, Jeff Leonard, a friend of Bobâ??s said. â??We knew expenses were going to pile up and we just had to, and the majority of us have played in bands with him it was only fitting that we put on a music festival for him.â??
