Boynton death investigation nears two-month mark

The investigation into the death of a northeast Missouri woman is nearing the two-month mark.

KTVO got an update Wednesday from Sullivan County Sheriff Roger Smiley regarding the March 28, 2012 death of Vickie Anderson, 51, of Boynton.

She was found dead in an outbuilding behind her house one mile east of Boynton.

Investigators are still trying to figure out if Anderson killed herself or if someone else did it.

They aren't releasing the cause or manner of death yet.

Smiley told us authorities conducted two more interviews this week with a couple of people who knew Anderson.

He said no charges have been filed in this case at this point.

Smiley also said not all of the results are back yet from the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Crime Lab.

He is hoping to have the rest of those results within a week or two.

In the meantime, the case remains an open investigation.
