After weeks of cold and dreary weather, a few local brides were able to find a bright spot Saturday.
The 7th annual NEMO Bridal Expo was held at the Kirksville Arts Center Saturday afternoon.
Over 20 local vendors were present offering ideas and samples of their services to more than 200 brides from all over northeast Missouri.
These blushing brides were able to sample cakes, view flower arrangements, and make plans for their upcoming nuptials.
The grand finale was a runway show, modeling all the latest bridal fashions.
All this was enough to make any dreary January day brighten up.
"You know we've always had our show in January and sometimes the coldest days of January bring the most people, but today it's in the 40's and it's a lovely day,â?? said organizer Donna Brown.
Admission to the expo only cost $1 and all proceeds will be donated to a local non-profit.
