A Brookfield man has been arrested on drug charges.
Macon County Sheriff??s Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the Macon R-IV School located in New Cambria, Mo. Thursday around 1:15 a.m.
Deputies were able to locate the suspicious vehicle in the school parking lot and during their investigation identified the occupant of the suspicious vehicle as Rick L. Ratliff, 59, of Brookfield.
While Deputies were in contact with Ratliff, he allegedly attempted to discard a small bag of suspected methamphetamine.
Deputies arrested Ratliff and also found him to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Now he is charged with possession of methamphetamine and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Macon County Jail without incident and is being held pending the issuance of a warrant.
