The extremely hot and dry conditions are prompting some warnings about outdoor burning.
The Schuyler County Commissioners issued a burn ban on Monday.
It is in effect until further notice.
Schuyler County Clerk Bree Shaw told KTVO fines will be issued if county residents don't abide by the ban.
In Macon County, the emergency management director has issued an Outdoor Fire Warning to all Macon County residents.
Citizens are asked not to burn until Thursday when better weather conditions are expected to arrive.
If the dry weather continues, officials said the Macon County Commission may upgrade the Outdoor Fire Warning to a burn ban.
