Iowa man arrested for sex abuse
OSKALOOSA, Iowa —
A Bussey, Iowa, man is in jail after being arrested on sex abuse charges.
Douglass Wade Pettyjohn, 57, is facing a felony count of Third-Degree Sexual Abuse, a Class C felony.
According to the Mahaska County Sheriff's Office, the assault happened on Friday morning.
Around 8 a.m., deputies were called to an address in rural Mahaska County regarding an assault.
The investigation into that assault lead to Pettyjohn's arrest. He is accuse of sexually abusing an adult female.
As of Friday afternoon, the case had not been posted to Iowa Courts Online.
The sheriff's office says Pettyjohn will make his initial court appearance on Saturday morning.
