Saturday dozens of people came out to the Thousand Hills State Park's Point Shelter to learn more about falconry from falconer Meagan Duffee. Falconry is the hunting of wild game with birds of prey and dates back thousands of years.
To many people, falconry is considered to not only be a sport, but an art form. Duffee talked about what falconer??s do, what it takes to become a falconer and people had the opportunity to get an up close look at raptors. The program was free and lasted for an hour.
