Car Care Council says do your part during Tire Safety Week
Maintaining your vehicle's tires is crucial to ensuring safety on the roadways.
While Friday is the final day of National Tire Safety week, the Car Care Council encourages motorists to do your part in keeping the roadways safe.
The council says tires should be aligned and rotated on a regular basis.
The Car Care Council also promotes regular tire pressure checks.
Nathan Tiedeman is the facility manager at Auto Plaza in Kirksville and he says tire pressure should be checked weekly.
â??On your driver's side door in majority of vehicles, there's a placard inside the door panel and it'll tell you the specified factory tire pressures for that exact vehicle,â?? said Tiedeman.
The Car Care Council is the source of information for the â??Be Car Care Aware" campaign, which promotes regular vehicle care.
