A Heartland woman was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision Friday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 11:45 a.m. on Highway 63 three miles north of Kirksville.
Investigators say a minivan driven by Loretta Smith, 21, of Kirksville, was attempting to turn across traffic into the Countryside Market parking lot.
Troopers said Smith pulled into the path of an oncoming car driven by Marty Haynes, 54, of Kirksville.
Haynes' car struck Smith's van; however, both drivers only sustained minor injuries.
Haynes refused treatment at the scene, and Smith was taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The highway patrol reports Smith was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
