Car, pickup collide on Heartland highway

The two drivers involved in a two-vehicle crash in Davis County Thursday afternoon managed to escape serious injury.

The Davis County Sheriff's Office told KTVO the collision happened right around 2 p.m. just north of the intersection of Highway 63 and 180th Street south of Drakesville.

Investigators said a pickup truck pulling a gooseneck trailer was driven by Adrian Thompson, 43, of Bloomfield.

The driver of the car involved was Donald Fogleman, 83, of Ottumwa.

The sheriff's office said exactly how the crash happened is still under investigation.

Neither driver received serious injuries.
