Car theft suspect leaves trail for police

Tina Howe is charged with stealing a motor vehicle.

A Kirksville woman is facing a felony charge in connection with a vehicle that was stolen from outside a building at 1108 East Patterson.

Tina Howe, 36, is charged with stealing a motor vehicle. She is being held in the Adair County jail under $25,000 cash only bond.

According to court papers, the victim had been in the building for an appointment and when she went to leave, her car was missing. The vehicle was later found in an alley in the 700 block of North Franklin. Inside the vehicle, police found items and documents with Tina Howe's name on them. Howe was also identified by employees in the building as a woman who had been hanging around.

Howe's next court appearance is set for July 10.
