Updated 1:00 p.m. Wednesday- We have just received word from KTVO's Stephanie Claytor, who is on the scene of the search for Christin Baucom, that authorities are expected to hold a press conference shortly.

Updated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday- The ground and air search for 6-year-old Christin Baucom resumed Wednesday morning.

The Knox County Sheriff's Department, the Missouri Highway Patrol and more than 75 volunteers are focusing the search on a concentrated 2-mile radius.

Volunteers are searching on horseback, all-terrain vehicles and on foot while an airplane is circulating overhead.

Anyone who has information related to Baucom's disappearance should immediately dial 9-1-1, the Highway Patrol - Troop B at 660-385-2132 or the Knox County Sheriff's Dept. at 660-397-2186.

We have a reporter headed to the scene of the search. We will provide information from our sister station, KHQA, as well.


Missouri State Highway Patrol is looking for a missing 6-year-old boy. Christin R. Baucom was last seen at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday at his residence in Colony, Mo.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol describes Baucom as a white male and autistic.

He will not answer if his name is called. Baucom weighs 50 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans. He was not wearing any shoes.
