Saturday was a chocoholic's dream come true, as Bonaparte Main Street hosted their 11th annual "Taste of Chocolate."
The event offered homemade, bite-sized chocolate delicacies, and people in the community came out to buy them by the pound.
â??We are a downtown economic development group, and what we do is we have local women from throughout the community make their favorite chocolate candies and goodies, and we put everything in bite size pieces, and then we spread them out and display and let people come through and buy them by the pound,â?? Chairwoman Gianna Barrow, Bonaparte Main Street said. â??That way instead of having to buy a whole plate of chocolate chip cookies or plate of brownies they can get a little of this and a little of that and they can pick out what they want.â??
The chocolate treats were $9 per pound, and those funds go to benefit the non-profit organization.
