Clarence man accused of sex crimes against 15-year-old girl
CLARENCE, Mo. —
A northeast Missouri man is accused of serious sexual crimes involving an underage girl.
According to online court records, James Beckley, 41, of Clarence, is now charged with First-Degree Rape or Attempted Rape, First-Degree Sexual Misconduct and Furnishing Pornographic Material to Minors.
The first two charges are felonies. The third one is a misdemeanor charge.
Beckley was arrested at his home in Clarence last Thursday.
Investigators said in court documents that Beckley inappropriately touched the 15-year-old female victim at his home in January.
They say that in March he sent her graphic photos and text messages and exposed himself to her outside his home.
Officers then claim that in April Beckley forced the girl into his bedroom and violated her sexually.
The suspect is free after posting bond on Monday.
Next up in the case, Beckley is due in court for arraignment on July 23, 2017.
The Clarence Police Department helped the Shelby County Sheriff's Office during Beckley's arrest.
