In an effort to fight rabies, the Adair County Health Department held a rabies clinic.

The vaccination clinic was held at the Novinger Fire Station where pet lovers could bring their furry friends to get vaccinated.

A line of pet owners with their 4-legged friends waited to make sure their pets were vaccinated.

As a way to protect your family and your pets, the Adair County Health Department sponsored this clinic for cats, dogs and ferrets.

Many pet lovers were pouring in for this hour and a half vaccination. The clinic also offered other vaccines upon request for a discounted rate.

Most animals can be infected by the virus and can transmit the disease to humans. So it's recommended that you get your pet vaccinated to ensure that when wild animals bites you, or your pets you're less likely to get rabies.
