A Heartland college group gave back to the community this weekend by helping kids expand their science skills.
The Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity Chapter at A.T. Still University held a microscope and lab material donation giveaway Saturday afternoon.
Students from ten local school and home schooling districts stopped by to collect the materials to help them succeed in their science classes.
The group says it was a great experience.
"So it's nice to know that being in KV, we can make an impact on these students an hope that 15 years from now, they can give that same advantage to the generation after that," said Jasser Khairallah of APO Executive.
The group hopes to do more community service projects in the near future.
