Convicted felon from northeast Missouri faces more charges

Jamie Potter, 35, of Novinger, is charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm

A northeast Missouri convicted felon who has already served his time is once again in trouble with the law.

Jamie Potter, 35, of Novinger, is now charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm after the Adair County Sheriff's Office carried out a search warrant at his home Friday night. Potter is being held in the Adair County jail on $25,000 cash-only bond. Court documents state that deputies found two shotguns and a rifle along with ammunition for all three of the weapons.

Right now, Adair County Sheriff Robert Hardwick says the investigation is continuing but he can't elaborate at this time. We will bring you updates as we learn more about the ongoing case.
