One Heartland administrator now has better training to help out local court services.
Recently, Matthew Holt of the Second Judicial Circuit Juvenile Division in Adair County earned the status of Certified Court Manager.
Holt was one of less than 30 professionals from across the state of Missouri to participate in the National Center for State Courts Institute of Court Management which covers topics including fundamentals of caseflow management, managing human resources, managing court financial resources, technology resources and court performance standards.
Holt said this training helps give more creditability to the local court system.
"It's certainly equipped me with the knowledge and tools that I need to effectively lead our court system from my position. I was really honored to get that opportunity and I think this will be a benefit to me," Holt said.
Holt was selected to the program by the Office of State Courts Administrator.
Other professionals who participated in the program came from a number of roles in different levels of the court. Those levels included Circuit Courts, Appellate Courts and the Supreme Court.
