The Davis County Fair wrapped up Sunday evening with a demo-derby at 7 p.m.
People were lining up to get their tickets early in the afternoon. Fair board members say the combination of the beautiful weather and it being the 150th anniversary of the Davis County Fair brought an astronomical amount of people out to the fairgrounds for all the fun-filled festivities. Sunday was also the Bill Riley Talent Search.
â??Everybody's got an idea,â?? Ralph Hopkins, a Davis County Fair Board member since 1975, said. â??We put them together and the fair for next year, we're already going to start working on. We go to convention December in Des Moines and try getting some of our entertainment and our ideas of what to do next year.â??
Other attractions over the course of the past few days included an antique tractor pull, stock car races and livestock shows.
